Comprising of five regions, the Northwest Territories make the northernmost province of Canada. Moreover, the province ranks as the least-populated Canadian province, with a population of around 45,000 people and an area of 1,346 million square kilometers. Also, people are more inclined toward settling in major Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary; however, it is easier to find a suitable job offer in isolated regions like Northwest Territories.

Another advantage of living in this province is getting to experience the wilds and natural beauty of Canada. Enjoying aurora borealis (northern lights) during the falls and visiting national parks spanning thousands of square kilometers are some of the best parts of living here.

The Framework of the PNP

To obtain a provincial nomination from Northwest Territories, you can apply through three streams: The Express Entry system, the Critical Impact Worker Program, and the Skilled Worker Program. Moreover, the applicants under the Express Entry system must meet the minimum requirements as specified for federal immigration. This program offers a faster pathway to obtain permanent resident status, with less flexible eligibility criteria.

To start with your visa application for the province, you must determine the stream through which you can apply and obtain a valid full-time job offer from a designated employer in Northwest Territories. Also, do not worry, as Northwest Territories offers numerous job opportunities; thus, it will not be very difficult to find one with relevant skills or experience. However, you are required to fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements and submit an application to the provincial government or through the Express Entry to start the process.

The Skilled Worker Program

This program includes the applicants who have jobs or occupations listed on NOC skill type 0, A, or B. To start with the process, you must submit a profile through the Immigrate to NWT government portal. This program is similar to the Express Entry system, and candidates with in-demand skills and qualifications can easily receive an Invitation to Apply.
