589 PNP invited by Express Entry

The IRCC was accepting applications from immigration applicants who have qualified for the cut off 741 CRS points and they must possess a provincial nomination received earlier. And Express Entry profiles possessing a provincial nomination will get bonus points of CRS 600 points

The current draw had set a lower cut-off than the previous draw which had a cut-off of 753 CRS points. The current draw had invited a greater number of immigrants as compared to the previous draw which had invited a total of 753 immigrants.

The immigration minister of Canada has announced two significant changes that are the categories of CEC and FSWP are set to open from the month of July and the upcoming applications of Express Entry will have a processing time of 6 months.

The draws for both the categories of Express Entry that are CEC and FSWP will be open from the month of July, as the IRCC had closed these categories from December 2020 and September 2021 respectively. The actual processing time for these categories is more than the ideal processing time mentioned by the IRCC.

And the reason for the discontinuation of both categories was the increasing number of pending applications to the IRCC.

The IRCC released its reports which show that they were able to process more than one lakh fifty thousand applications of Canadian permanent residents while they could only process half of the number of applications in the previous year.

The IRCC will not target a large number of immigrants from the Express Entry category this and next year. Instead, it will accommodate a large number of immigrants via Express Entry from 2024.

Express Entry

The virtual set of the Canadian Government is handled by the IRCC for managing all the related work of 3 categories that are FSWP, FSTP, and CEC.

The approach used by Express Entry to evaluate an applicant is through CRS. It is a Comprehensive Ranking System through which the applicants are graded, factors like the age of the applicant, their previous work experience, and their educational qualification form the base for scores given to them.

The IRCC sends their personnel to check and verify the application by asking them for their fingerprint and photograph credentials. After qualifying all the steps of verification, and getting approved by the IRCC, the potential applicants are rewarded with a COPR. Through a COPR an applicant is allowed to initiate the process to land in the country.

Invitation

Below is an imaginary example to explain the concept of the invitations which can be given to Express Entry applicants.

Yash is 35 years old and holds a postgraduate degree in the database and has been working in the same industry for 8 years. He takes the IELTS exam, scores 7 in each category, and submits his application in the Express Entry pool.

His CRS score counted to 355 CRS points and fortunately, he received a provincial nomination from the province of British Columbia. Getting a provincial nomination from the province raised his overall score of 355 points to 955 CRS points and thus he becomes eligible for getting the invitation to Canadian permanent residence.
