IRCC welcomes new Advisory Board with newcomers’ participation

IRCC welcomes the new Advisory Board with newcomers’ participation. This measure is a response to IRCC’s report called “An Immigration System for Canada Future.” The Canadian government, along with IRCC, displayed a report consisting of various details and action plans. All the information within this report became known after the meetings with various stakeholders, discussing new strategies to improve the Canadian immigration system.

Reportedly, IRCC has also formulated a new plan to build a new Advisory body with people who have living experience in immigration to develop policies further and suggest improvements related to delivering services.

This action plan is an initiative to help IRCC offer a friendly and helpful experience for newcomers in Canada.

Furthermore, the advisory council or board will assist the department in creating an improved communication approach. It will also ensure that Canada adapts a human-friendly methodology to improve the immigration system.

The Canadian government understands completely that individuals who use the immigration services include those with families, and employers forming big decisions for their life. They are not just file numbers and much more than that.

The advanced advisory body will consist of individuals with a lot of experience in immigration. Further, they will help strengthen the immigration programs and ensure development too. Moreover, they will ensure that the country functions through a human-centric approach.

This Advisory Council will also comprise newcomers in Canada holding several perceptions and experiences related to Canadian immigration. These will include temporary residents, international students: permanent residents, and foreign workers.

Expectedly, IRCC will reveal more details about a new advisory board sooner or later. However, IRCC before this also allowed public opinions on matters related to immigration.

Yet, this is the first-ever advisory council formed by IRCC to help newcomers directly provide their feedback and participate in improving the Canadian immigration system.

IRCC’s background on public consultations about immigration

IRCC has conducted regular consultations with Canadians to help IRCC determine immigration policies and programs. In 2023, the immigration department also demonstrated consultation reports on Canada’s immigration levels, the significant immigration system, the category-based Express Entry draws, and IRCC’s action plan of the advisory council.
