IRCC Invites French-Speaking Candidates In The Latest Draw

IRCC invites French-speaking candidates in the latest draw, i.e., Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited more candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system.

In this latest draw, over 6,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates with French-language skills.

To be included in this draw, candidates needed to:

  • Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 416
  • Have created their Express Entry profile before 3:27 p.m. (UTC) on September 8, 2025

This draw was one of the largest in 2025 and showed IRCC’s ongoing focus on bringing more French-speaking newcomers to Canada.

This draw is the third-largest Express Entry draw held in 2025. The two bigger draws this year were also for French-speaking candidates, held on February 19 and March 21.

With this new round, French-language candidates have now received 36,000 invitations so far this year, which is more than any other group.

Moreover, IRCC’s strong focus on French-speaking immigrants supports Canada’s Official Languages Act, which aims to increase the number of French speakers living outside Quebec.

This year, most Express Entry draws have focused on PNP candidates, followed by CEC and French-speaking applicants.
