The pandemic that left Canada under strict lockdown, led the country into a state of decline with its immigration.
The report was addressed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on October 28th Thursday.
In a news release, the OECD said “migration flows to OECD countries declined drastically, most of the progress in migrant integration that has been achieved over the past decade wiped out in just one year of the pandemic.”
3.7 million migrants migrated to the 25 countries OECD member countries included in the analysis, 2003 was the lowest. It also showed the highest drop in the flow for immigrations more than 30%, as shown by the report.
The year 2020 saw declines in all sectors, affecting the categories of permanent migration.
Temporary labor also underwent a decline in most of the OECD countries.

The vacationers number declined by 58% and the intra-company transfers by 53%, while the flow of seasonal agricultural laborers was affected by 9%.
The study permits fell by 70%in the states as well as Canada, Europeans fell at 40%.
