What is the BC PNP Tech program?
A program that was introduced in May on the 27th was a pilot program that was designed for the labor market study that showed the biggest issue that the province was a witness to in its technology sector. After seeing the success, the program offered British Columbia took the decision of making it permanent. It gave the employers the power to attract more foreign workers to come and be a part of the province’s success and the market.
To be a little more specific on the details the program created a faster path for immigration for the tech workers of foreign lands. The candidates have to be a part of the programs that already exist in the province and have a legitimate job for a span of twelve months in the 29 jobs that deem them qualified for the stream.
Compared to the other programs, the job offers under the British Columbia PNP tech have a minimum requirement of one year and have 120 days remaining when applying for the program. The job needs to be a full-time job and from an employer who is qualified in the province.
The invitations via the province’s tech programs are sent on a weekly basis to the candidates who score the highest and meet the requirements for eligibility.
The contenders who have an ITA for the provincial nomination have to hand in a detailed application. 2-3 months will be taken for processing for the tech workers, once done.
Once the application is approved, the candidates will receive a nomination confirmation that will then be used for applying for permanent residency from the Immigration, Refugees Citizenship Canada or IRCC under the Provincial Nominee Program or PNP class.
The candidates of PNP automatically earn 600 points in their score in the CRS or comprehensive ranking system and therefore a better chance at gaining an ITA or Invitation to Apply for their permanent residence through the Express Entry.
