Alberta and British Columbia’s latest PNP draw results

Alberta and British Columbia announced the Provincial Nominee Program results. Provinces and territories in Canada have their PNPs and they operate separately. Candidates might even receive a provincial nomination. Provincial nomination can increase a candidate’s chance of attaining permanent residency status.

PNP candidates with an express entry profile will get more points than 600 which will be added further to their CRS score. The added points will also make them eligible to receive an invitation to apply ahead for the specific invitation rounds of PNP. The recent Express Entry Draw was conducted on June 22, 2022, with 636 PNP candidates who received an invite to apply with a minimum CRS score of 752.

Here’s a glance at the latest PNP invitation rounds conducted in Canada.

Alberta

150 Express Entry candidates received an invitation from the Alberta Advantage immigration Program (AAIP) on June 16 to apply for the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

The minimum CRS score of 306 to receive an invitation to apply for a Provincial Nomination from Alberta.

Candidates will be nominated based on the factors including education in Canada, work experience, employment offer in Alberta, having a relative living in Alberta, or family members such as a sibling, parent, or child.

Candidates must also fulfill Express Entry’s eligibility criteria with a minimum score of 300. Express Entry candidates are likely to receive an invitation if they display their interest in permanently settling in Alberta through their profile.

British Columbia

British Columbia regularly holds PNP invitation rounds every week. The recent BC PNP invitation rounds were held on June 21 with 125 candidates who received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. Draws conducted this week concentrated on specific areas of the activity.

As per the Tech draw, 101 candidates received an invitation. These candidates are supposed to fulfill the eligibility requirements for the categories of Express Entry BC of British Columbia or Skills Immigration. Both the categories are managed by the SIRS (Skills and Immigration Registration System). Candidates who received an invitation had to get a minimum score of 85.
