Alberta offers immigration updates while two provinces held draws this week. Applicants were invited based on various factors.
In separate draws, the two provinces, Manitoba and British Columbia, invited candidates based on their professional experience, education, as well as inclusion in special strategic recruitment initiatives.
Provincial Immigration Results: September 27 To October 4
Alberta offers immigration updates while two provinces held draws this week. Below are the results of these draws.
1. British Columbia
On October 2, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program held two draws for immigration candidates to the province, i.e., a general draw and a draw on in-demand sectors.
In the general draw, the program invited around 81 candidates via several immigration streams.
Below are the streams and cut-off scores for the general draw.

In the second draw, the BC PNP invited candidates with professional experience within in-demand sectors of the labor market:

2. Manitoba
On September 27, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held two draws for immigration candidates.
The MPNP held the first draw under the International Education stream. In this, 79 letters of advice were issued to candidates who had been invited under a ‘Strategic Recruitment Initiative.’ Candidates required a score of a minimum of 582 in order to be invited.
Of the 348 candidates invited under both draws, 56 declared having a valid Express Entry profile and a job seeker validation code.
3. Alberta
Alberta offers immigration updates while two provinces held draws this week. Well, these updates show the number of nominations issued, how much of their provincial allocation needs to be filled, and the current status of processing for each stream. All this is shown in the table below.
Note: For candidates whose work permits expire in 2024, the AAIP is evaluating these applications based on the ‘Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permit for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Applicants’ to determine whether candidates might be issued a letter in support of a work permit extension.
