Another Express Entry all-program draw issued 7,000 ITAs

Another Express Entry all-program draw took place recently in the third consecutive week. IRCC issued 7,000 invitations yet again for Canadian PR. The least score under the Comprehensive Ranking System turned out to be 481. The department acknowledged candidates from all programs. This specific draw had the lowest CRS score for an all-program draw. Previously, an all-program draw under the Express Entry system had the least CRS score, 468. This draw occurred in 2020.

The CRS score has declined majorly to 481 in the three consecutive weeks, while IRCC issued invitations to 21,000 candidates in the last two weeks.

Express Entry is the chief method through which the Canadian government operates economic class immigration. Candidates with eligibility criteria for any of the three Express Entry programs will have the chance to display their profile on IRCC’s website. These include the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the FSTP.

However, they will acquire a CRS score based on a variety of factors based on human capital criteria, such as age, language proficiency, education, and work experience.

Another all-program Express Entry draw was held recently

Usually, IRCC conducts draws under the Express Entry once in two weeks and offers invitations to those receiving a higher score. However, looking at the recent Express Entry draws, it is evident that the department couldn’t follow a planned schedule.

For instance, it consecutively conducted two Express Entry draws on March 15 and 23. These two draws also tied with each other, being one of the most significant draws in terms of draw size.

A total number of 7,000 Express Entry candidates received invitations during each draw, totaling up to 14,000.

All program draws occur when IRCC issues ITAs to candidates across all three Express Entry programs. These draws are distinct from the program specific-draws, which consider only applicants of a particular program.

A candidate receiving an ITA will have at least sixty days for PR application submission to IRCC. The chief objective of the department is the application processing within six months. In the case of a candidate’s application approval, they can arrive in Canada as Permanent Residents.

According to the Immigration Levels Plan for 2023-2025, IRCC will welcome more than 83,000 newcomers through the Express Entry system in 2023.

The plan further directs the country on the number of immigrants who can come to Canada for the next three years.

Canada’s immigration target is set to increase to 109,000 in 2024 and 114,000 in 2025. As for this year, it is 106,000 immigrants. Recently, several Canadian provinces even declared their PNP allocations. Ontario is the largest province and will be nominating around 18,000 candidates. PNP partially works through the Express Entry system. For instance, any candidate with eligibility for anyone Express Entry program will have the opportunity to enter the pool of Express Entry.

Further, they will receive an invitation through a province or territory to apply directly for their PNP. Also, this method is commonly known as Enhanced Provincial Nominations. Moreover, those with a PNP stream will automatically gain 600 extra points.

These additional points will assure the candidate that they will receive an ITA for PR. The latest data suggests that immigrants in Canada are increasing gradually; hence, Canada is more than happy to receive increased temporary and permanent residents.

Canadian population broke its historical records by welcoming over a million people. Around 95 percent of the Canadian population growth occurred through new PRs and temporary residents.
