Canada Released its PNP Results for April 2022

Canadian province had released around 3,000 invitations for provincial nominations in April 

PNP is a program executed by all the three levels of the Canadian Government which are the Provincial, Territorial, and Federal governments. This program gives handovers the powers to Canadian provinces and territories to execute immigration programs at their level. The provinces can decide the eligibility criteria, and the number of invitations depending on their province’s labor requirements.

This program was brought into existence in 1998, with the main aim to diversify the benefits of immigration deeply among all the Canadian provinces. The program records a major contribution to the immigration system of Canada.   

Small Canadian provinces like PEI, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, etc. Are majorly dependent on Provincial Nominee Program to balance their labor requirement.   

If this program is continuously managed in the same way, there may be a total of 93,000 PNP candidates within the next 2 years. Read more about Canada PNP results for April 2022.

Express Entry linked PNP

All Canadian provinces have their PNP stream linked with the Express Entry. The immigration programs are FSWP, FSTP, and CEC. This program is recognized as Enhanced PNP. Under this program, Express Entry profiles are selected by the provinces.   

Over the last few weeks, the IRCC has been sending more invitations to PNP candidates. A total of 1,554 PNP candidates are under the category of PNP-specific Express Entry draws.  

Also, the declaration to restart releasing the applications of categories like CEC, and FSWP will soon begin after a month. And the processing time for Express Entry applications will be brought back 6 months.   

The Province of Alberta   

The results of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program were released by the province of Alberta last month. 250 applicants have received invitations for provincial nomination under the category of Alberta Express Entry System.   

The Province of British Columbia   

A total of 665 BC PNP candidates have received a provincial nomination under the category of Express Entry British Columbia and Skills Immigration streams.   

The Province of  Manitoba   

The province of Manitoba had held its draw on the second day of April under which 526 applicants had received Letters of Advice to Apply. Among all the applicants, 76 of them had valid Express Entry profiles. Regular applications were released by the province for immigrants belonging to the categories of Skilled Workers Overseas, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas.   

To assist the people of Ukraine, the province of Manitoba has started to release Expression of Interest. To become eligible for this program people of Ukraine need to match all the eligibility criteria mentioned by the province of Manitoba.   

The province has already issued 20 invitations to applicants for this category on April 13.   

The Province of  Ontario

There were 1,335 invitations issued under the category of OPNP last month.  

The invitations were sent through 2 draws. One of the draws was the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream, under which a total of 1,034 applicants received an invitation as they qualified for all the eligibility requirements.   

The remaining 301 applicants were invited from the category of Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream in the month of April.   

The province had promised that they would be working with the Toronto Business Development Centre to build a 2-year Entrepreneur Pilot.   

The vision of this project is to assist 100 immigrant businessmen in setting up and expansion of their businesses in the province.   

The then jobs generated from such businesses will greatly help in reviving the economy of provinces and Canada which were hit by Covid.   

The Province of  Prince Edward Island

The draws of PEI PNP are always conducted once every month. A total of 152 candidates have been invited by the province. Out of which 141 applicants were from the category of Express Entry and Labor Impact and the remaining 11 applicants were from the category of Business Impact Stream.   

The Province of  Quebec

This province executes its separate program to invite immigrants under QPNP. It does not integrate with the immigration programs of Canada.

The province had invited a total of 33 applicants for Canadian permanent residency. All the applicants who had received invitations belonged to the category of the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program.

The eligibility criteria of this program demand candidate who possess a valid job offer from the Montreal Metropolitan area. Additionally, to this, the candidates have to have a profile formed in the Arima Expression of Interest system.
