Canada’s PNP draws this week enabled three provinces to issue invitations to eligible candidates. These include British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
Under the Provincial Nominee Program, individuals received nominations from these three Canadian provinces this week.
Except for Quebec and Nunavut, all Canadian provinces and territories with PNPs have PNP programs or streams that intend to target applicants the province believes can help achieve an economic goal, such as easing a labor shortage. Many of these provinces and territories also have targeted streams for French-speaking immigrants who can help increase the prominence of the French language outside of Quebec.
These streams take into account the most recent modifications to the federal Express Entry system. The province declared on May 31 that qualified applicants for category-based selection might receive invitations to upcoming draws this year.
All those candidates who receive a Provincial Nomination will require to apply directly to IRCC for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Canada’s PNP draws this week – results between June 3 to 9
British Columbia
On June 6, four targeted draws resulted in the invitation of over 157 individuals to British Columbia.
All applicants, including Express Entry applicants, were in the BCPNP’s Skilled Worker or International Graduate streams.
In the draw with the highest number of applicants, 112 tech workers with minimum SIRS scores of 90 received invitations.
The other three draw all of the necessary SIRS minimum scores of 60. Twenty-four early childhood educators and helpers, 21 healthcare professionals, and less than five additional applicants for priority occupations were among them.
Ontario
On June 5, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program sent 278 notifications of interest to applicants in the Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream.
Two draws occurred in the province along this watercourse. The first was intended for applicants who worked in fields such as health, education, and finance. All of the nominees’ CRS ratings fell between 312 and 487.
In the second draw for the tech, trades, and other priority occupations, the government invited an additional 139 applicants. The CRS rating of each nominee ranged from 348 to 487.
Candidates for the PNP in this stream must specify whether they want to be evaluated against the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Trades Program. They must also be fluent in both French and English.
Canada’s PNP draws this week – Saskatchewan
On June 8, Saskatchewan held its first drawing of the month. Under two programs of the SINP, the government invited 500 applicants.
Candidates needed a somewhat greater score because this draw was smaller than the most recent one on May 18.
232 candidates from the Occupations-in-Demand stream and 268 candidates from Express Entry got the invitations. Also, only candidates with occupations matching specific NOC codes were nominated. Each candidate had to pass an educational credentials assessment with a minimum score of 69.
