Results are in for the October 26th draw held by Alberta.
Alberta Immigration Nominee Program had invited applicants who scored an average of 300 in the Express Entry.
The recent draw was the sixth of its kind in a row which had a cut-off of 300 scores. This is the minimum score you need for the Alberta Express Entry.
Alberta just invited 6,158 express entry applicants to apply for the provincial nominee as the invitation rounds were resumed in January 2021 after a temporary break due to the pandemic. Invitations were sent out through the draw to the candidates for nomination certificate application.
6,250 nomination certificates have been allocated to Alberta this year. Due to the few invites, it seems though the province isn’t done with issuing invitations for the year.
Alberta Express Entry
Alberta Express Entry is a high- level program. It enables the government of the province to scan through the applications with the federal government and pick out the ones that are eligible for nomination.
Application management system for express entry is categorized into three sections:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal High Skill
If eligible the candidate is scored in the basis of CRS. Points are given on your language skills, work experience education and age.

It seems quite possible to immigrate via the Express Entry framework without a provincial nominee, but applicants who have lower CRS scores might choose a PNP. Provincial Nominee gets you 600 points automatically. The lowest scoring applicants in the new Alberta draw get the selection, their new CRS scores will be 900, all that anyone could need to be welcomed in an ensuing Express Entry draw.
Eligibility for Alberta Express Entry
Eligibility for the Provincial Nominee via the Alberta Express Entry stream, the candidate should have work experience in the required field.
The Alberta Immigration Nominee Program does not give the list of jobs that are eligible, but it does offer a list of the jobs that aren’t. The applicants under this are usually from the food service sector, drivers for transport trucks and chefs.
Some circumstances have the ability to increase the possibility of you being nominated for the program, the factors include your work experience, your education, and a job offer in the province. This is also beneficial for a relative, parents, or siblings.
