Express Entry issues invitations in the largest CEC draw, i.e., Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued a new round of invitations to apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system.
In this draw, IRCC invited 6,000 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates to apply for permanent residence. This is the largest CEC draw in more than 16 months.
To qualify for this draw, candidates needed:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 520
- An Express Entry profile submitted before 5:30 p.m. UTC on July 15, 2025

This recent draw is the biggest CEC-specific invitation round since July 16, 2024. It is also the first time in months that the CRS cut-off dropped below the usual range of 533–534, which was the trend in the last five CEC draws.
This is welcome news for many CEC candidates who were waiting for a drop in CRS scores.
Today’s draw is also the second draw of December. It follows:
- The largest PNP draw of the year on December 8
- A major French-language draw on November 28
- A CEC draw on November 26
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 105,599 ITAs through Express Entry.

Express Entry draws this year have focused heavily on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. Other draws targeted CEC candidates, French-speaking applicants, and priority occupation groups.
