The Express Entry draw for healthcare occupations issued 3600 ITAs, while the minimum CRS score was 431. The draw occurred on October 26, 2023, and is the third draw this week.
Express Entry’s second weekly draw for the French category occurred on October 25, 2023. This is the second draw after the one that occurred on October 24. The French category Express Entry draw issued invitations to 300 candidates who could score at least 486 CRS points. Candidates with solid French language skills received these ITAs.
However, the last draw invited 1,548 candidates, while the CRS score was 776. This was the first PNP-only draw since May 10, 2023. Typically, PNP draws have a higher CRS score because the Express Entry pool candidates also tend to receive a provincial nomination. This nomination immediately adds 600 extra points to their CRS scores.

Upfront IME is not mandatory for Express Entry candidates
Express Entry candidates don’t necessarily have to get an upfront medical examination before the submission of their Permanent Residence application. The medical examination is still needed, but candidates have the choice to upload a blank page in the builder profile of the Express Entry. Afterward, they will receive a notification with instructions related to a medical exam.
Those candidates who are either already residing in Canada or have done their IME exam will not need to give another IME.
Express Entry and category-based selection
Express Entry functions as an application management system with a set of three distinct programs under economic class. These include the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the CEC, and the FSTP.
The several factors through which you’re able to receive scores under the Comprehensive Ranking System include age, education, work experience, occupation, and language skills.
Each characteristic receives a score, which tends to be 1200 points. Candidates hardly get to score these many points, and the general range lies between 350 to 550 points.
The Express Entry category-based selection draws this year, while the law for these draws was passed in June 2022. These new categories include STEM professions, Transport, Healthcare, Trades, and Agriculture and Agri-Food.
