Five Canadian provinces invited PNP candidates last week. The provinces include British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. The Provincial Nominee Program permits almost all Canadian provinces and territories to select candidates most appropriate for the provincial labor force. They must be able to economically establish themselves in the different provinces. However, Nunavut and Quebec remain exceptions to this.
The PNP gained prominence ever since it came into existence in 1998. Moreover, it has proven to be the perfect pathway for Canadian Permanent Residence. This is precisely due to its potential to bring forth economic immigrants per the Immigration Levels Plan. The country is all set to welcome nearly 117,500 candidates through PNP every year until the end of 2025.
Provincial governments are able to conduct draws according to their requirements. Every year the number of PNP candidates receiving could differ as there is no limitation on the number of invitations. However, the province cannot surpass the number of allocations dictated by IRCC.
