Four Provinces In Canada Nominated Immigration Applicants

This week, four provinces in Canada nominated immigration applicants via their Provincial Nominee Programs

In addition, the applicants were invited via economic streams, which selected applicants based on employment, professional skills, age, etc. 

Provincial Immigration Results: July 13-19, 2024 

Four provinces in Canada nominated immigration applicants. Here are the results for all of them. Take a look! 

1. Ontario 

This week, the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program held four provincial immigration draws under its economic immigration streams. Moreover, the initial draw occurred under the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream. Also, in a general draw, the OINP issued 265 invitations to apply to applicants with a score of 35 or above. 

The OINP held a draw under the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream on the same day. The draw took place in two parts. The PNP first issued over 424 invitations to applicants who had an employment offer in a selected healthcare profession and a score of 81 or more. In the second part of the draw, the OINP issued 839 invitations to applicants who had an employment offer in ‘another priority profession’ and a minimum score of 77. 

In addition, the third draw occurred on July 16, under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. The OINP issued over five invitations to applicants who qualified under the federal Economic Mobility Pathways project. 

Lastly, on July 18, the OINP held an Express Entry-aligned targeted draw, issuing over 1,240 ITAs under the Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities stream. Also, the draw targeted applicants who worked in a healthcare profession and had a minimum score between 425 and 444.

 

2. British Columbia 

On July 16, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program held five targeted draws under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate (including EEBC option) stream. Moreover, the PNP targeted applicants who had professional experience in different in-demand professions and met minimum cut-off scores. In total, 68 invitations were issued to applicants. 

The breakdown of the scores is as follows: 

  • Childcare Worker’s Draw: Minimum score of 94
  • Construction Worker’s Draw: Minimum score of 95
  • Healthcare Worker’s Draw: Minimum score of 104
  • Tech Worker’s Draw: Minimum score of 122
  • Veterinary Care Worker’s Draw: Minimum score of 80

 

3. Manitoba 

This week, Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program held two immigration draws under two different streams. 

The initial draw took place on July 18 under the International Education stream. In addition, the province invited 109 applicants who met the requirements of the stream. 

On the same day, MPNP also held a draw under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream. Moreover, over 52 applicants who declared being invited under a strategic recruitment initiative and have a minimum score of 645 were issued letters of advice to apply. 

Of the 161 letters issued this week, over 16 were issued to applicants who declared a valid Express Entry profile number as well as a job seeker validation code. 

 

4. Prince Edward Island 

Four provinces in Canada nominated immigration applicants and Prince Edward Island was one of them. 

On July 19, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program issued invitations under two of its streams. 

The PNP issued 84 invitations under the Labor as well as Express Entry streams. In Particular, individuals who were in the healthcare and construction sectors, those with work permits that are expiring before the end of the year and the applicants in the International Graduate stream with work permits expiring before the end of 2024 had invitations. 

Moreover, on the same day, PEI issued two invitations under its business streams.
