IRCC held the first Express Entry transport category draw of 2024, issuing ITAs to 975 candidates. This is the second draw of this week, and candidates need to score a minimum of 430 points. This transport category-based draw occurred on March 13, 2024. The immigration department also invited 2,850 candidates in a general draw on Match 12. Candidates from all three programs under Express Entry receive invitations, provided they meet the eligibility criteria based on the Comprehensive Ranking System. This draw had a minimum CRS score requirement of 525 points, indicating a decline of 9 points compared to the previous draw, which was also a general draw.
February held six draws and sent invitations to 16,110 candidates. February started with the French category-based draw and finished with the same category draw.

The transport occupation category presents a unique opportunity for Express Entry candidates with substantial experience in the transport sector. This includes various roles, such as aircraft assembly workers, truck drivers, and pilots. By creating a category specifically for transport occupations, Canada is actively seeking skilled individuals who can significantly impact this vital field.
The draw on March 13 saw the lowest score requirement of 430 points, a significant decrease compared to the previous draw. The last time a draw was held for the transport occupations was in December last year, indicating the rarity of such opportunities.
