Since August 2025, IRCC has been holding one CEC draw per month. However, this latest draw marks the first time since August that IRCC has conducted two CEC draws in a single month (the last one being on October 1).

October has been a busy month for Express Entry. This draw was the sixth in October alone, following:

  • A Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on October 27
  • A Healthcare and Social Services draw on October 15
  • Another PNP draw on October 14

So far, in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 74,485 ITAs through the Express Entry system.

Draw Trends And Focus In 2025

As IRCC holds a new Express Entry draw for CEC candidates, let us discuss the draw trends this year.

Well, in 2025, IRCC has mainly focused on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws. The rest of the ITAs were issued to:

  • CEC candidates
  • French-speaking candidates
  • Candidates in priority occupation streams, such as healthcare, education, and trade.

What This Means For Candidates?

The trend shows that CEC and French-language draws remain a big part of Canada’s Express Entry system.

CEC draws are helping international graduates and workers already in Canada move toward permanent residency.

The CRS cut-off scores have stayed steady, meaning competition remains strong, but candidates with Canadian work experience have consistent opportunities.

For those in Canada looking to apply for PR, staying informed about upcoming draws, score patterns, and IRCC policy updates can help improve your chances.
