IRCC issues ITAs in healthcare and social services draw. A total of 500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence were issued during this round.
To be eligible for selection in this draw, candidates needed to meet two key requirements:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 504
- An Express Entry profile created before 6:47 a.m. UTC on March 31, 2025
This draw marks the second time in 2025 that IRCC has invited applicants specifically from the healthcare and social services category, emphasizing Canada’s ongoing efforts to meet labour shortages in critical public service sectors.

Express Entry Timeline: What To Expect
An Express Entry profile remains valid for up to one year from the date it is submitted. However, receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply) within that one-year timeframe is not guaranteed.
If a candidate does not receive an ITA within a year, they may create and submit a new Express Entry profile, provided they continue to meet eligibility criteria. When doing so, it’s important to note that the profile’s new submission date may affect eligibility for future draws due to IRCC’s tie-breaking rule.
Once an ITA is issued, candidates have 60 calendar days to submit a complete application for Canadian permanent residence.
After submission, IRCC aims to process most complete applications within six months. The timeline begins once IRCC receives the complete application and ends when a final decision is rendered.
