Manitoba & PEI issue ITAs for provincial nomination via their respective Provincial Nominee Program

The Manitoba PNP prioritized applicants with advanced levels of education and those who have obtained direct invitations. 

Moreover, PEI held its second draw of 2025 this week, targeting PEI-based applicants, along with international student graduates from specific universities and colleges. 

Manitoba (February 14-21)

Manitoba & PEI issue ITAs for provincial nomination. 

Well, on February 20, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program held draws under two streams. 

The first draw was under the International Education stream, inviting 19 eligible applicants to apply for provincial nomination. 

In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements for the stream, applicants must fulfilled the following criteria: 

  • Hold a master’s degree or higher
  • Declare a Manitoba supporter who
    • Is a close relative
    • Is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
    • Has resided in Manitoba for at least one year

The second draw took place under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream and invited profiles which indicated that they have obtained a direct invitation from the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative. 

This draw resulted in 22 applicants obtaining nominations, with the lowest score among invited applicants being 711. 

In total, 41 Letters of Advice to Apply were issued with seven being issued to applicants who had declared a valid Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.

Prince Edward Island (February 14-21)

On February 20, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program held a draw targeting applicants via two pathways: Labor Impact and Express Entry.

A total of 87 ITAs were extended to applicants employed in professions and priority sectors deemed vital to the province’s economic growth and development.

This draw targeted applicants who have been living and working in PEI for at least one year.

International student graduates from the educational institutions listed below were also prioritized.

  • University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)
  • Holland College
  • Collège de l’Île
