Newfoundland & Labrador holds the third immigration draw of 2026, i.e., on April 13, Newfoundland and Labrador held another round of invitations under its provincial immigration programs.
A total of 210 invitations were issued through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program and the Atlantic Immigration Program.
This is the third invitation round held by the province in 2026.
Details Of The Latest Draw
Out of the 210 invitations, most were issued through the NLPNP. Around 84% of all invitations went to this program.
| Program | Invitations Issued |
| NLPNP | 177 |
| AIP | 33 |
The province does not share details about which specific streams within the NLPNP were used to issue these invitations.
Total Invitations Issued In 2026
When compared to the earlier draws this year, this round is the smallest. The province issued 445 invitations on March 6 and 245 on March 30.
So far in 2026, a total of 900 invitations have been issued under both programs. The breakdown is as follows:
- NLPNP: 748 invitations.
- AIP: 152 invitations.
This is a big increase compared to the same time last year. Moreover, between January and April 2025, the province issued only 256 invitations. In 2026, the number reached 900 during the same period.
How Candidates Can Apply?
Both the NLPNP and AIP have been using an Expression of Interest (EOI) system since February 2025. Candidates must submit an EOI to be considered.
In most cases, a valid job offer is required under both programs. The only exception is some entrepreneur streams under the NLPNP.
In the EOI, candidates must provide details such as:
- Occupation
- Education
- Language ability
- Plans to live in the province
Applications are reviewed by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM). Invitations are then sent to selected candidates based on the province’s needs.
Once an invitation is received, the candidate or employer can submit a full application. This could be for a provincial nomination under the NLPNP or an endorsement under the AIP.
Moreover, the full application must be submitted within 60 days after receiving the invitation. It will then go through a detailed review process.
EOI profiles remain active for up to 12 months. After this period, they expire and must be submitted again if the candidate still wishes to apply.
