The province of Ontario had released 1,493 applications through 5 draws for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has invited 173 applicants interested in moving to Canada. Provided with that, this nomination program is open for Ph.D. graduates with at least an Expression of Interest score of 16.
On a preceding day, the province of Ontario released its notification to invite Postgraduate scholars, international scholars, and foreign professional candidates.

Getting points for the provincial nomination of Ontario
The EOI profiles are ranked by the province of Ontario based on various human capital factors. The candidates are ranked also based on the level of their skills with work experience in that industry.
The province’s system of calculating is not only limited to skills and experience. But it also takes factors like wages, educational qualification, the place of study, and the level of proficiency in the official language. The workers are rewarded with up to 10 points according to the discretion of the province to meet its labor market requirement.
International student stream
The Employer Job Offer has a stream for the eligible immigrants who have received a job offer from an employer of the province of Ontario. This stream is known as The Ontario International Student Stream. To become eligible for this category The intended immigrant is required to complete a program at one of Canada’s designated learning institutes and a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.
To get the invitation from the province, the candidate has to start by creating an EOI profile on the official website of the province. The profile is then sent to the EOI pool and evaluated based on the submitted documents. The profile is then assigned with points that are rewarded based on human capital factors.
The Foreign Worker streams
There’s another stream of The Employer Job Offer that is Employer Job Offer which calls for the immigrants possessing a valid job offer letter from an employer-based in Ontario. The able candidates fulfill all the requirements need not to apply for the nomination from within Canada.
The eligibility criteria demand immigrants whose intention I to move to the province of Ontario with a valid job offer from a Canadian employer. Also, the candidate has to have 2 years of experience in the specified line of work along with other requirements to meet.
The procedure of this is also similar to the International Student stream.
Ph.D. and Masters Graduate
The aspirants of the Ph.D. and master’s graduate stream need to head on to Ontario’s e-filling website to register an EOI. The application has to be submitted in the tenure of 2 years of graduation with no requirement of a job offer.
Further, the province sends invitations to the candidates meeting all the requirements of eligibility for the provincial nomination.
