PEI has recently announced the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) timetable for all the draws in 2022. The only PNP stream to announce its draw schedule is Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
Prince Edward Island follows the same pattern every single year, except in 2020, when COVID disrupted the world, the timetable for PEI PNP draws was also disturbed.
Aspirants can expect and have a chance of 12 draws this year. The draws conducted by the province send invites to applicants under the below-mentioned streams:
– Express Entry,
– Labour Impact and

PEI PNP Express Entry
This PNP stream is considered an enhanced one. Enhanced PNPs are those that are linked and follow the guidelines of the federal immigration system. All the applicants aspiring for this PNP should create a profile in the federal stream first.
Express Entry is a platform developed by the federal immigration department of Canada to manage the details of new applicants.
The platform helps handle the below-mentioned federal streams:
- Canadian Experience Class,
- Federal Skilled Worker Program, and
- Federal Skilled Trades Program.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is used by the platform to assign points to applicants related to demographic information. Individuals who have the highest score are eligible for an invite in the next round of invitations.
The PNP nomination adds 600 points to any individual’s CRS. That makes sure that the individual gets the invite to the upcoming draw. They must apply for PR with the necessary paperwork after receiving the invitation. An immigration official examines the data and documents before drafting a final judgment on your application. They have the authority to obtain biometrics and, if not convinced, to request other documentation. They may also cordially invite you in for an inquiry.
Eligible applicants must develop an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the province’s stream in order to be eligible for a nomination.
The applicants with the top marks are then invited to apply in the upcoming draws.
Labour Impact Category.
International individuals who have a valid work offer in the province are eligible for the category. They should also be backed by their employer in PEI. Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate are the three streams.
To get a nomination from the province under this stream, contenders in this category are also required to organize an EOI.
Business Impact Category.
Applicants in this category must meet the provincial baseline score measure to continue with the registrations. Every single draw has its own unique threshold. The stream released invites for today’s draw under the Work Permit Stream. This stream is for an international business person who wants to run a business on this island.
