PGP 2022 lottery finally gets completed. The Parents and Grandparents Program of Canada aims to assist Canadian sponsors in reuniting with their families. Moreover, it provides the parents and grandparents to achieve permanent residency status. The PGP also works toward letting them access universal healthcare and eventually leading them to Canadian citizenship.
According to the IRCCs website, it conducted the PGP 2022 lottery between October 12 and October 20. The website even displayed that 23,100 sponsors received the ITAs in the pool of PGP 2022.
PGP 2022 Lottery- Invitations to apply
Similar to the PGP 2021, IRCC decided to prohibit a new interest round for sponsoring submissions in 2022. Conversely, it allowed ITAs for PGP 2022 to have an increased number of Canadian sponsors who expressed an interest through its official website in 2022.
Suppose an interested sponsor received an invitation to apply for the Parents and Grandparents Program 2022; he must check his program eligibility first before application submission. Based on the receiving date of an ITA, those interested in PGP sponsorship will have time until December 24, 2022, to submit their application. PGP lottery ITAs remain the most desired in the entire Canadian immigration.
Interestingly, the number of interested Canadian sponsors seeking to fetch their Canadian parents and grandparents to the country is far more than the available spots.
According to IRCC, they received more than 200,000 interests from interested sponsors. It received a huge figure of sponsors in October and November 2020.
Conclusion
The PGP 2020 round looks forward to making space in the pool with the remaining 155,000 sponsors. They aim to process at least 15,000 accurate applications out of the 23,100 invitations to apply they have sent.
