PNP draws’ invitations were sent by four Canadian provinces

PNP draws’ invitations were sent recently by four Canadian provinces, including Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Manitoba.

According to the Immigration Levels Plan, PNP is the leading pathway for economic immigrants to gain entry into Canada. The Provincial Nominee Program enables everyone to understand the significance of the benefits of Canadian immigration. Moreover, PNPs act as the perfect support for provinces so that they can confront the existing labor shortage challenges.

Apart from this, PNPs also have streams working in alignment with the Express Entry system. One such example is the Enhanced PNP nomination. Also, such streams support candidates in the federal pool of Express Entry. Hence, candidates have the chance to apply for any of the enhanced PNP streams under a specific province and, hereafter, obtain a Notification of Interest and a Provincial Nomination. However, all of it will mostly depend upon their eligibility.

Furthermore, the candidates will acquire 600 additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System. This will automatically multiply their chances of receiving an ITA concerning the particular enhanced PNP stream.

Notably, two Express Entry draws (5th and 6th) in 2023 occurred explicitly for candidates under the Enhanced PNP streams. The two draws witnessed a total of 1,366 invitations.

PNP draws’ invitations were sent- the outcomes between March 17 and 24

Ontario

The Ontario PNP recently issued 746 Notifications of Interest to candidates with CRS scores between 250 and 489. The draw took place for the Skilled Trades Stream. Additionally, those who obtained the NOIs had created their Express Entry profiles between March 23, 2022, and March 23, 2023.

Notably, the OINP’s economic streams are tied to specific professions.

British Columbia

On March 21, the British Columbia PNP issued nearly 254 letters of interest to candidates from six streams. Moreover, the BC PNP conducted three targeted draws for the following under the Skilled Worker International Graduate Stream:

  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants;
  • Healthcare Professions;
  • Priority Occupations-other jobs

Manitoba

The Manitoba PNP conducted its recent draw on March 23 and issued 566 Notifications of Interest. These are the Letters of Advice to apply under the Manitoba PNP.

The stream’s bifurcation of NOIs is as follows:

  • Occupation-specific selection- Issued 266 NOIs to specific candidates within in-demand occupations. The minimum CRS score was 612.
  • All professions- 200 NOIs were sent and those profiles which couldn’t be selected in the specific occupation draw were acknowledged. The minimum CRS score turned out to be 672.
  • International Education Stream had around 52 NOIs sent.
  • Skilled Worker Overseas Stream- Candidates who received an invite through the MPNP received 48 NOIs. The invitations under the MPNP were related to the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. Also, the least score was 708.

PNP draws’ invitations were sent by Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan PNP conducted two draws on March 23, 2023. The draw invited candidates from the In-demand occupations stream and the Express Entry. 184 Express Entry candidates also received NOIs with the least CRS score of 82. Moreover, the occupations in-demand stream invited 312 NOIs to candidates. The cut-off score appeared to be 82. If candidates seek eligibility under the Occupations in-demand stream, they must be absent from the SINP occupation list.

Provincial Nominee Programs and their future

Currently, Provincial Nominee Programs play a crucial role as the chief immigration pathway for economic immigrants arriving in Canada. It will also continue as the major pathway in the upcoming years. The recent FMRI meeting focused on the significance of PNPs. After this meeting, a declaration occurred regarding a specific multi-year level plan for provincial immigration. This way, the provinces will learn about their immigration distribution well in advance. Further, the regions will get a chance to pre-plan their immigration effectively.

Additionally, this particular meeting also led to an increase in upcoming immigration distributions for several provinces. They’re as follows:

  • Alberta witnessed a massive distribution increase, with 9,750 spaces available in 2023.
  • The distribution for Manitoba increased to 9,500 spots this year.
  • Ontario also witnessed a rise in the PNP allocations, with up to 18,000 slots by 2025.
  • Saskatchewan noticed an increase in distributions up to 8,500 in 2025.
