PNP invitation rounds were held for four Canadian provinces, including Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec. The Provincial Nominee Program enables a majority of the permanent residents (of the economic class) to arrive in Canada. The Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025 has a target level of 117,500 new PRs through PNP to land in Canada annually until 2025.
Besides this, PNPs encourage promoting the economic benefits of immigration nationwide. This is an attempt to prevent immigrants from only settling in urban cities before the emergence of PNPs in 1988.
Provinces have the authority to issue invitations to candidates for a provincial nomination. This is only because of the shared duty of the provincial and federal governments.
PNP invitation rounds were held for four Canadian provinces- outcomes between April 22-28
British Columbia
British Columbia issued 168 invitations to candidates during three targeted draws on April 25. Candidates under the British Columbia PNP must fulfill the minimum cut-off scores under the SIRS. The Skills Immigration Registration System functions similarly to that Express Entry’s CRS score. It applies only to those candidates who seek a provincial nomination from British Columbia.
This weekly draw had candidates from the Skilled Worker or International Graduates Stream, and it even consisted of Express Entry candidates.
The most significant draw took place recently and even focused on 113 candidates under the tech occupation, with a minimum SIRS score of 90. Additionally, the second draw issued invitations to 28 candidates under Early Childhood Educators and Assistants, with a minimum score of 60.
Alberta
Alberta displayed outcomes for three distinct draws last week under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, with all candidates in the Express Entry pool.
Further, the first draw occurred on April 20, with a target of 152 candidates having family ties in Alberta and an in-demand occupation. The minimum score ranged between 300 and 500.
Next, on April 24, 124 candidates received invitations in a targeted draw focusing on Priority Sector. This implies the Construction occupation and employment offer in Alberta. The least score was 301.
The last draw occurred on April 25, with eight invitations issued to candidates under the Designated Healthcare Pathway and Alberta job offer stream. The least score turned out to be 316.
Furthermore, Alberta is predicted to invite up to 9,750 candidates through the AAIP in 2023. Whereas for Express Entry, candidates in Alberta would be nearly 1,462. This is the highest figure for the Express Entry category in this province and will get invitations under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway.
PNP invitation rounds were held for four Canadian provinces- results for Quebec
Quebec issued invitations to 1020 candidates on April 20, and these belonged to the Quebec Skilled Worker Program. Further, they could apply for permanent selection. All candidates possessed scores equivalent to or above 598. They must have had authentic job offers outside the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal territory.
Additionally, Quebec has complete authority over the selection of economic immigrants. Candidates with a Quebec Selection Certificate must apply directly to IRCC for Canadian Permanent Residency.
Manitoba
Manitoba issued 558 letters of recommendation to candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream of the Manitoba PNP. Also, the minimum score requirement of 616 was essential to gain eligibility.
Candidates who reflected their work experience in a regulated occupation, with a complete license to work in Manitoba, attained an invitation in the draw.
