The province of Canada has launched new streams for immigrants coming from Ukraine who wish to settle in Canada either temporarily or permanently.
Canada is a place of residence for about 1.4 million Ukrainians. Thus, Canada is the 3rd largest country as a migrant place for Ukrainians. This is why it is looking for measures to help Ukrainians as much as possible.
Ukrainian immigrants can enter Canada for Emergency travel with a Canada-Ukraine Authorization. There is no restriction on the number of Ukrainian immigrants coming to Canada.
IRCC will launch this stream within 14 working days.
IRCC is soon going to release the details of a new special family Sponsorship for permanent residents of Ukrainians living in Canada.
Additional to this, the Canadian Government has provided the facility of work permits to the candidates coming to Canada through such measures. This means the immigrants can work in the Canadian province with any employer based in Canada on a work permit basis.
IRCC has mentioned releasing more announcements regarding the temporary and permanent immigration programs for Ukrainians along with their processing time soon.
Ukrainians who are not fully vaccinated can also enter the country. But the immigrants should possess a temporary resident permit/temporary resident visa or a valid written letter stating that their application for Canadian PR has been accepted.
IRCC is giving special preference to immigration applications of Ukrainians who wish to settle in Canada either to work or to study, etc.
Also, the Canadian Government has focused on accelerating the processing time for Canadians living in Ukraine who wish to return to Canada. These Canadians can come back to the country with a single journey travel document which is issued by the IRCC in case of a non-valid passport.
Ukrainian immigrants residing in Canada can elongate their duration by extending their status. The province of Canada will also give the preference of renewing the work and study permits for them. The temporary Ukrainians living in Canada with a job offer can resume working while their work permit is processed.
IRCC will establish a separate assistance channel for solving the queries related to Ukraine either in Canada or abroad. IRCC will soon start with reverse charge calls at +1-613-321-4243. People impacted by the Ukraine conflict can prefix their inquiry with the keyword “Ukraine 2022” to prioritize their email.

Work permits for Ukrainians.
Openwork permits will be given to Ukrainian students, professionals, etc. who cannot go back to their country. IRCC has decided to abandon the fees for various documents like passports, travel documents, etc. Detailed information regarding this will soon be updated on the website.

Halt in orders of removal
To assist the Ukrainian immigrants living in Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency has taken the step of removing ADR. Removing this ADR leads to removal in order to require the candidate to leave the country. This order will be put on a stay once the conflict stops. The candidates who are restricted to coming to Canada based on criminal background, violating human rights, or for other reasons do not imply ADR.

Saskatchewan provides the immigration channel for Ukrainians
On the fourth day of March, the province of Saskatchewan has called for 36 Ukrainians for immigration through its provincial nomination which doesn’t ensure Canadian Permanent Residency.
Among the total invited candidates, only 14 of them had a separate profile set up in the Express Entry system of Canada. While the rest can be eligible for Saskatchewan’s Occupation.
After approval, the candidates can apply for Canadian PR by using their nomination under PNP.
