The province of Quebec has released applications for Canadian PR for 306 skilled workers.
The Ministère de I’Immigration and de la Francisation et de I’Intégration has released the invitations for candidates wishing to move to Quebec through Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program.
To become eligible for this program the candidate should have an account in the Arima Expression of Interest System with 630 points which have been mentioned as the least score. Also, the candidate should possess a legal job offer that should be external to the Montreal Metropolitan area.
The province of Arima has welcomed 1,663 immigrants for Canadian PR so far this year. Whereas 3,564 immigrants were welcomed this previous year.
What is Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program
Quebec Skilled Worker Program works for international students and skilled workers who look forward to settling in the province economically.
The immigration applicants are evaluated on factors like age, skills related to their language, and vocational skills that could integrate into their professional career, etc.
The selected candidates for Canadian PR are provided with a period of 2 months to give in the application and its fee. The Quebec governance tries to finish the application procedure within 180 days of receiving the forms and relevant documentation.
Candidates getting positive results from the province are provided with a Certificat de sélection du Québec that can further be used as a means to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency.
The immigration program of Quebec is dissimilar from the immigration program of other provinces. This is why immigrants aiming to settle in Quebec will have to follow a different system of immigration.
The immigrant target of 2022
The Immigrant target of 2022 was already presented in October 2021. It has been estimated that a majority of immigrants coming this year will be from the province’s economic immigration programs like QSWP and PEQ.
The province of Quebec has aimed to admit 49,500-52,500 immigrants from all the available immigration programs of the province. There will be an additional admission of 18,000 candidates to match the targets of the government formed in 2020 that couldn’t be met because of Covid 19. In short, a total of 70,000 immigrants will be welcomed into the province this year.
