Results of the latest PNP draw of BC, Alberta, and Manitoba

Every Canadian province besides the provinces of Nunavut and Quebec has the authority to conduct its PNP draws.  

With PNP as a medium, interest and potential candidates can apply for getting a provincial nomination in the provinces.

Obtaining a provincial nomination does not certainly grant the Canadian permanent residency but multiplies the chances of getting the status of permanent resident in Canada. 

The reason behind getting a Permanent Resident status after getting the provincial nomination is the addition of bonus scores to the total scores.  

The last draw of Express Entry which was conducted last week offered provincial nominations to 589 eligible candidates who had a minimum CRS score of 741. 

Below are the given details of the results of 3 Canadian provinces- 

The province of Alberta  

A total of 100 Express Entry profiles belonging to the category of Alberta Express Entry stream have been invited by the province of Alberta. 

The eligibility criteria required Express Entry profiles to attain a minimum score of 383 CRS points, only then provincial nomination from the province of Alberta could be granted. 

The prerequisites for applying for the Alberta Express Entry was to have experience in any of the eligible professions.  

The list of non-eligible professions is available instead of the list of eligible professions.  

Although the government of Alberta gives preference to candidates under the following conditions  

  • have either an educational background in Canada 
  • Possess an employment offer from an employer based in the province of Alberta 
  • Whose family members are residing in the province. 

Apart from the above requirements, a candidate has to attain a minimum score of CRS score of 300 points and the candidates need to mention their strong intention of moving to the province of Alberta permanently. 

The province of British Columbia

The province granted provincial invitations to 137 qualifying candidates from the draw held on the 24th of May. 

All the invitations granted to all 115 qualifying candidates belonged to the category of BC tech drawing. One of the requirements for this draw was that the candidate must qualify the eligibility requirements of either Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC, both of which are operated by the SIRS. 

The above total qualifying candidates getting the invitations of provincial nominations had at least a score of 85 CRS points and were either International Scholars or skilled workers who came from abroad. 

The province of British Columbia conducted a separate draw for specific occupations in which candidates must have the least score of 60 points and under which a total of 11 teachers for primary classes and 11 paramedic professionals were invited. 

The province of Manitoba

The province of Manitoba has been conducting draws at regular intervals since mid-March of this year targeting people of Ukraine called The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. 

The motive behind the launch of this specific draw for Ukrainians was to assist impacted lives by welcoming them to Canada.  

The last draw of this category was held on 20th May under which a total of 13 LAAs were issued to qualifying people who had at least 60 points. The eligibility criteria also demand applicants who have had scored a minimum score of CLB 4.
