Saskatchewan has placed an immigration draw on September 27 for new candidates to invite them to apply to get permanent residency status in Canada by using the Provincial Nominee Program. The SINP use to invite skilled workers from different countries of the world under two subcategories:
- Express Entry
- Occupations In-Demand
Around 391 candidates with work experience in certain occupations got invitations and around 152 candidates get invitations for the Express Entry program subcategory and 239 candidates got invitations under the Occupations In-Demand program
To get the invitation from these subcategories necessary requirements are:
- You must have an expression of Interest (EOI) profile in SINP.
- You must require an EOI score which is a minimum of 60 to receive an invitation to apply. The minimum required score can vary according to the eligibility criteria of a certain province.
- You need to submit your Education Credential Assessments.
- You will get entry in the EOI pool
- You will receive invitations to Apply through regular draws.
- You need to submit an application with full information within 60 days after receiving ITA.
- SINP officials will assess your applications and take final decisions Whether you are eligible to come to Canada or not
The SINP uses this EOI system to select skilled workers who are capable of working in the Saskatchewan provincial market. You must be interested to settle and work in Saskatchewan and require the following documents;
- Your Work experience Assessment
- Your Educational credential Assessment
- Your Language Proficiency Assessment results
- Your age as per documents
- Any link to Saskatchewan if you have
Saskatchewan officials will give a score out of 100 to all applicants on an International Skilled Worker Points Assessment basis. The highest scorer applicants can get an invitation to apply from the immigration officials of Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan has changed the point system and provides extra EOI points to the English and French-speaking applicants.
Express Entry Sub-category:
In this round of the Express Entry draw, Saskatchewan immigration officials invited around 152 immigrants who had applied in the federal system of the Express Entry pool. This federal Express Entry system manages those applicants who get entry in the Express Entry pool for three different immigration programs.
If you get the entry in the Express Entry pool and your expression of interest is for the province of Saskatchewan, and you have a score of 60 in the Point Assessment Grid system. You can get an invitation to the latest draw. If you applied to the Express Entry program for the provincial nomination program in Saskatchewan then you will receive an extra 600 points in your CRS score. The process will be the same for any Provincial Nominee Programs in Canada which are linked with the Express Entry program.
Occupations In-Demand Sub-category :
This program is for those candidates who have not applied in the Express Entry Program but have work experience in those sectors which are in high demand and have requirements of workers in Saskatchewan.
Almost 239 Occupations are required in Saskatchewan and new immigrants get invitations through the Provincial nominee program. Here you also require a score of 60 to get selected in the Express Entry subcategory.
Eligibility For The Occupation-In-Demand Sub-Category
- You must require a language proficiency score of CLB level 4 or high.
- You required a Score of 60 on the points assessment grid of SINP.
- You must have completed your post-secondary education of a minimum of 1 year.
- Your education, diploma or training must be of the diploma level of the education system of Canada.
- If you completed your degrees and diplomas from outside Canada then you require an Educational Credential Assessment.
- You must have acquired a minimum of 1 year of job experience in the last 10 years.
- Showing proof of having sufficient funds for settlement is a must with a settlement plan.
- Paying an application fee of $300 online is a must, which is not refundable.
Eligibility For The Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category
The applicants who are applying for this program and are not in Canada or have legal status in the country can be eligible to apply for this immigration category for settling in the province of Saskatchewan:
- You must have a profile in the Express Entry system that is active and have your profile number and validation code for finding a job.
- You required a score of 60 points minimum on the points assessment grid of the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program.
- You must require a language proficiency test result with a score of CLB level 4 or high.
- You must have completed a minimum of 1 year of post-secondary education.
- Your education, diploma or training must be of the diploma level in the education system of Canada.
- If you completed your degrees and diplomas from outside Canada then you require an Educational Credential Assessment.
- You must have acquired at least 1 year of work experience in the last 10 years in a skilled trade.
- You must have work experience of 2 years in a trade that requires skill in the last 5 years.
- You must have work experience in the trade or non-trade sector in Canada for a minimum of one year in the last three years.
- You have to obtain a licence from Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission to regulate your trade.
- Showing proof of having sufficient settlement funds is a must with a settlement plan.
- Payment of an application fee of $300 online is a must that is not refundable.
