Six Canadian provinces disclosed PNP immigration outcomes

Six Canadian provinces disclosed PNP immigration outcomes, and these include Manitoba, PEI, Quebec, British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta.

All Canadian provinces or territories, except for Nunavut and Quebec, might issue invitations to new immigrants under the economic class to apply for a provincial nomination. The Provincial Nominee Programs help you in doing this. A provincial nomination enhances a candidate’s Permanent Residence application when a candidate applies directly to IRCC.

Quebec operates separately and has a different agreement with the federal government. This province has complete control over the figure of economic newcomers as it might select them permanently.

Ontario

Ontario sent invitations to candidates on October 30 to candidates in different streams. These include the Master’s Graduate and PhD Graduate Streams of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. Both these were general draws without any specific occupation.

Ontario issued invitations to 1051 candidates under the Master’s Graduate Stream, while the lowest score was above 43. In addition, it issued invitations to 66 candidates under the Graduate Stream, while the minimum score was 42.

British Columbia

British Columbia sent invitations to more than 203 candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program on October 31.

The province conducted four draws separately, of which the largest draw issued invitations to Skilled Workers, with the lowest score of 111. The International Graduate candidate’s score was 113, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled candidates had a minimum score of 91.

The rest of the three draws targeted occupations such as Skilled Workers and International Graduates. The candidates had to score a minimum of 60 points.

  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants – 48
  • Healthcare professionals – 22
  • Other Priority Occupations – Below Five

Quebec disclosed PNP immigration outcomes

Quebec also displayed its immigration levels plan on November 1. The province also creates target plans for economic immigrants to whom it will issue invitations to apply for a permanent selection.

In 2023, Quebec only set immigration targets for 2024 and 2025, respectively. This province also sets advanced targets for up to four years. However, under the current plan, it only takes two years to assess the French language requirement for candidates seeking permanent selection.

In addition, in 2024, the province is targeting 30,650 Skilled Workers and 31,500 candidates in 2025.

On October 26, the two latest PNP draws occurred in which 1220 candidates received invitations. The first targeted draw focused on multiple trades occupations. The lowest score was greater than 465.

The second targeted draw focused on candidates in healthcare, tech, and other priority occupations. The lowest scores were beyond 608.

In both draws, candidates had to score a CLB of 7 in French language oral proficiency or maybe higher than that.

Alberta

Alberta published outcomes recently for draws held on October 24 and October 26. On October 24, the province issued invitations to 22 candidates through the following streams:

  • Dedicated Healthcare Pathway
  • Alberta Job Offer Stream

Candidates with the lowest ranking had a Comprehensive Ranking Score of 326. On October 26, the draw issued invitations to 100 candidates who had eligibility under streams like Family Connection and Primary Occupation In Demand Stream. These candidates required a minimum score of 369. Both these draws also had candidates from the Express Entry pool.

Manitoba PNP immigration outcomes

On November 2, Manitoba issued invitations to 400 candidates to proceed with nomination through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

The province conducted the following three draws separately:

  • The first draw occurred for 204 Skilled Workers in Manitoba, having a minimum score of 768, which is a general draw.
  • The second draw was for Skilled Workers Overseas, while the province issued invitations to 65 candidates. The lowest minimum score was 708 under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The final draw issued invitations to 131 candidates from the International Education Stream. There is no minimum score for this draw.

Prince Edward Island

In addition, on November 2, Prince Edward Island issued invitations to 41 candidates under Labor and Express Entry. The selected candidates had work experience in healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, and agricultural industries.

Over the last twelve months, PEI issued invitations to 2,385 candidates to apply through the Prince Edward Island PNP.

The Strategic Immigration Plan and the latest Immigration Levels Plan

Every year, IRCC displays an Immigration Levels Plan to plan a target for the upcoming figure of permanent residents that will gain invitations in the next three years. The total number of targets has a classification of IRCC’s immigration programs and pathways.

On November 1, the recent immigration plan for 2024-2026 became official. It reveals that in 2024, IRCC will gain 11,000 new immigrants through the PNP and 120,000 in 2025 and 2026.

IRCC’s latest Strategic Immigration Program largely influences the plan. The program comprises three chief pillars to improve the efficiency of IRCC. As a result, new immigrants will effortlessly settle, coordinating the immigration level’s growth-based infrastructure needs and settlement services.

IRCC plans to fulfill the objectives by meeting stakeholders or provincial governments to understand local needs and potential. In addition, new immigrants would have all the relevant skills to establish themselves in the economy. Moreover, it will enhance affordability and balance the requirements of all Canadians.
