STEM invitation rounds will occur soon for skilled newcomers. Recently, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry declared the Express Entry category-based draw for STEM would be conducted on July 5 this year.
Candidates with experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics will gain preference in the draw when invitations are sent out. STEM will include data scientists, software developers and programmers, mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries, and electrical and electronic engineers.

The Honorable Minister Fraser revealed the new Express Entry category-based selection process last month. By encouraging individuals with particular work experience or fluency in French to seek permanent residence, category-based choices would improve Francophone immigration.
