Summarizing the Express Entry’s FSWP and CEC draw results

The Canadian federal government has disclosed the data concerning the recent two draws conducted under Express Entry’s FSWP and CEC. The data reveals the number of candidates that were invited based on each draw.

In the first draw conducted on July 6,15,00 candidates received the invitation, with a minimum score of 557 considered a higher score. The first draw was held by IRCC after a pause of 18 months.

IRCC even stated about FSWPs eligible candidates receiving invitations along with CEC and PNP candidates. The department also stated that the estimates might change due to their preliminary nature.

Express Entry Programs  July 6 (CRS 557)  July 20 (CRS 542)  July 6-July 20
Provincial Nominee Program  700  764  1,464
Canadian Experience Class  595  569  1,164
Federal Skilled Worker Program  205  417  622
Total  1,500  1,750  3,250

FSTP candidates haven’t been disclosed yet due to numerous reasons. IRCC had listed CEC on its top list of eligible candidates for more than one program. IRCC sends CEC invitations only on the condition of the candidate’s eligibility concerning three programs FSTP, FSWP, and CEC, or at least two (FSWP and CEC). This condition applies to the invitations being sent because CEC candidates don’t require any funding proof to apply for immigration. Contrarily, FSWP and FSTP candidates require funding proof if they don’t have a Canadian job offer. Eligible candidates must apply through CEC if they are eligible for both programs.

Suppose FSTP candidates become eligible for other programs, IRCC will send them invitations to apply through those specific programs on priority. If candidates don’t do the needful, they won’t receive higher scores. FSTP candidates are often invited to apply for immigration to Canada as skilled workers. Due to this reason IRCC conducts draws for FSTP occasionally.

As observed, the more invitations that will be sent to candidates, the higher the chances of lower CRS scores requirements.

The all-program draws will have to be conducted by IRCC frequently to meet 2023’s target as per the Multi-Level Immigration Levels Plan. Over 80 percent of candidates under the all-program draws will receive the final decisions by IRCC within six months, provided they respond to the invitations.
