The latest PNP nomination results of five Canadian provinces were recently published. The Canadian provinces, including British Columbia, PEI, Alberta, Ontario, and Manitoba, issued invitations to apply for the Provincial Nominee Program.
The PNP enables the provinces to select the economic immigration candidates who will be able to integrate within the provincial labor market. The Provincial governments get to access these candidates through the Federal Express Entry application pool. Besides this, they select the ones who directly approach the province.
The provincial and federal governments mutually govern the immigration system in Canada. This is why the PNP continues to mark its presence. The federal government distributes a specific figure of nominations to every province. Exceptions include Nunavut and Quebec, as they are without PNPs. Toward the closure of 2023, IRCC seeks to admit 105,550 new Permanent Residents using the PNP.
