The procedure in Quebec for Facilitated LMIA
The Canadian employer has to show that they have advertised through various means and still are unable to find an eligible professional for the specified post with proof.
The efforts involve advertisements for a minimum of 28 days then interviewing the candidates and portraying a lack/ ineligible/unwilling candidate to be hired for the position. This is why the employer has to hire professionals from abroad.
The employers of Quebec who wish to hire temporary workers around the globe for specified positions have to apply for LMIA and the procedure for this is less time-consuming.
The Emploi-Québec has collaborated with Ministére de I’Immigration, de la Francisation et de I’Intégration to build the list of Occupation for Quebec’s Facilitated LMIA which was based on Canada’s NOC, 2016
The employers of Quebec offering jobs that are mentioned in the list have to follow the given facilitated procedure.
The facilitated LMIA applications require approval from both provincial and federal authorities. This is why employers who are hiring foreign workers need to submit applications with certain documents to MIFI and ESDC.
