Three Canadian provinces released their latest PNP results

Three Canadian provinces released their latest PNP results, including Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba.

Candidates who appear appropriate for the Canadian economy receive PNP nominations by the province. The provincial governments issue these invitations to eligible candidates if they can integrate well into their economy. Also, they must be able to bridge the labor market gap by filling in more vacancies.

These candidates either get selected through the Express Entry pool, which is the enhanced nomination, or the province as some people apply directly to the provincial government. This is the base nomination.

However, some individuals tend to confuse provincial nomination with permanent residency status. They are different from each other. The provincial nomination only strengthens the possibility of your getting a PR. Those candidates who receive a nomination will need to send their application to IRCC separately.

Three Canadian provinces released their latest PNP results between October 6 and 12

British Columbia

British Columbia issued over 180 ITAs to candidates in the latest BC Provincial Nominee Program on October 11. The province conducted four targeted draws, and candidates obtained invitations in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories. These targeted draws also included Express Entry candidates.

The largest draw invited 118 candidates from Tech Occupations; they had to demonstrate a minimum score of 90 to receive invitations.

The outcomes of the rest of the three draws are as follows:

  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants – 45
  • Healthcare Professionals – 17
  • Other Priority Occupations – under five

Each candidate had to fulfill the minimum score requirement of 60 points.

Manitoba

On October 5, Manitoba organized four draws and invited 542 candidates to proceed with a provincial nomination. Also, the two draws belonged to candidates in the category of skilled Workers in Manitoba. The first draw invited 213 candidates working in professions under the NOC 2021 major groups. This turned out to be an occupation-specific draw. The candidates belonged to the following occupations under the National Occupational Classification (2021):

  • Technical trades and transportation officers and controllers – 72
  • Helpers and Laborers and other transport drivers, operators, and laborers – 75
  • General Trades – 73

Candidates must fulfill a minimum score of 610 to be eligible for an invitation.

On the other hand, the second draw was general, and 222 candidates received nominations, with a minimum score of 629. They were not invited on the basis of any specific attributes.

The rest of the two draws were also general draws. The Skilled Worker Overseas category had 41 candidates who received invitations and had a minimum score of 601. The International Education Stream had 60 candidates who received invitations.

Alberta released the latest PNP results

On October 10, Alberta conducted a small draw in which 13 candidates from the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway received invitations. These candidates belonged to the Alberta Job Offer Stream of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. This stream’s candidates also belong to the Express Entry; the minimum CRS score was 327.

The Alberta Job Offer Stream also consists of a distribution of 1,462 nominations for its candidates for 2023. It also demonstrates that only ten applications are pending, with the remaining 1,383 allocations.
