Two Canadian Provinces Invite Applicants in the Latest PNP Draws

Two Canadian provinces invite applicants in the latest PNP draws. Immigration is a shared responsibility between provincial and federal governments. Through the PNP, IRCC allocates each province and territory, except for Quebec and Nunavut, a specific number of nominations they might use to select the economic immigrants who are able to fulfill the needs of the labor force and economy.

Getting a nomination by a province isn’t similar to becoming a permanent resident. However, those applicants who apply for provincial nomination and are successful will further have a stronger application in case they apply to IRCC for permanent resident status.

Provincial Nomination Results From June 15 to June 21

Two Canadian provinces invite applicants in the latest PNP draws. Here are the results for the same.

1. Ontario

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program invited applicants in three draws over two days. There were a total of 402 invitations.

The first two draws took place on June 17. One issued invitations to 84 applicants in the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream. It was a targeted draw for early childhood educators and assistant applicants. They needed a minimum score of 60 or higher in order to be considered.

The second draw of the day also targeted 106 early childhood educators and assistants from the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream. These applicants required a minimum score of 39 or higher to obtain an ITA.

Lastly, the June 20 draw invited over 212 applicants from the OINP French-speaking Skilled Worker Express Entry stream. The draw was general, implying that no professions were targeted and considered applicants with a score in the range of 305 – 409.

2. British Columbia

On June 18, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program invited more than 70 applicants to apply for provincial nomination.

Candidates got invitations in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams of the program. The province held five targeted draws for applicants in specific professions.
