Manitoba invites skilled workers in the latest MPNP draw in a new draw held on December 18, 2025.
In this draw, the province issued 63 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) under the Skilled Worker stream.
The invitations went to candidates under two pathways: Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas. All selected candidates said they were directly invited by the MPNP through a strategic recruitment initiative.
Draw Results
The 63 invitations in this draw were shared across several strategic recruitment categories. Manitoba focused mainly on Francophone candidates and people already working in the province:
- Employer Services: 10
- Francophone Community: 27
- Regional Communities: 5
- Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP): 21
Out of the 63 invited candidates, eight said they had a valid Express Entry profile.
If you submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile that met the criteria but did not receive an LAA, the MPNP says this may be because:
- You said you completed an approved English or French language test, but you did not enter a valid test number, or your test results were no longer valid; or
- You said you received an invitation under a strategic recruitment initiative, but you did not provide a valid invitation number.
Who Manitoba Selected In This Draw And What The Categories Mean?
What the initiative categories usually represent:
- Employer Services (10): This initiative helps approved Manitoba employers keep skilled workers by supporting eligible employees for nomination through the MPNP.
- Francophone Community (27): For MPNP purposes, a Francophone candidate is someone whose French skills are equal to or stronger than their English, based on an approved language test.
- Regional Communities (5): These initiatives support labour and population needs in areas outside Winnipeg. They are created with help from local employers, municipalities, and settlement groups.
- TPP (21): This category relates to a temporary public policy that helped some future provincial nominees get work permits. Manitoba previously joined a federal policy that allowed it to issue work permit support letters to selected PNP candidates.
It is important to note that Manitoba has announced that it stopped accepting new work permit support letter submissions after December 16, 2025, at 12:59 a.m. EDT.
