Manitoba has conducted its largest provincial immigration draw since September 2025 by issuing 2,146 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination. The draw took place on July 16 through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
The latest selection round invited a wide range of candidates, including international student graduates, skilled workers already living in Manitoba, skilled workers from overseas, and French-speaking applicants. The draw reflects Manitoba’s continued focus on attracting workers with the skills needed to support the province’s economy and labour market.
This was Manitoba’s 14th provincial immigration draw of 2026 and the largest invitation round held by the province so far this year.
Latest Draw Details
The latest selection round included invitations under the following streams and selection categories:
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway;
- Completion of post-secondary study in Manitoba.
- Francophone selection.
- Occupation-specific selection.
- Skilled Worker Stream – in Manitoba and Overseas;
- Direct invitation by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.
- International Education Stream – Graduate Internship pathway.
Around 92.4% of all invitations issued during this draw were granted to candidates selected through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.

Among all candidates who received an invitation, 825 also declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code in their Expression of Interest (EOI).
Skilled Worker In Manitoba
A total of 1,982 candidates received invitations through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway. The province selected candidates under three different categories.
1) Completion Of Post-Secondary Education In Manitoba
To qualify under this category, candidates needed to:
- Indicate in their Expression of Interest profile that they or their spouse graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution; and
- Have an EOI score of 825 or higher.
This category accounted for 94.6% of all invitations issued under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.
Applicants must provide supporting documents, including their diploma and academic transcript, to confirm they completed their studies in Manitoba before applying for a provincial nomination.
2) Francophone Selection
Candidates qualified under this category if they indicated in their Expression of Interest profile that:
- French was their preferred language of communication with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program; and
- They held valid French language test results.
3) Occupation-Specific Selection
The province also invited candidates who stated that they were currently working in one of the following healthcare occupations:
- General practitioners and family physicians (31102)
- Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine (31100)
- Specialists in surgery (31101)
Manitoba reminded applicants that anyone selected under a regulated occupation must already hold the required licence to work in the province. Provincial nomination applications may be refused if applicants cannot prove they meet Manitoba’s licensing requirements or are not working in the regulated occupation listed in their profile.
Skilled Worker Stream
The Skilled Worker Stream included candidates from the following pathways:
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba
- Skilled Worker Overseas
Only candidates who had previously received an invitation through a Manitoba recruitment mission or under the former Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Candidates (TPP) were considered.
Among all strategic recruitment initiatives represented in this draw, the Ethnocultural Communities initiative accounted for the highest number of invitations.

International Education Stream
The province also invited 78 candidates through the Graduate Internship Pathway under the International Education Stream.
To apply for provincial nomination, selected candidates must provide documents confirming that they meet all of the following requirements:
- Completion of a master’s or doctoral degree in Manitoba within the last three years
- Completion of a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate internship, including the Accelerate Entrepreneur program, with an eligible Manitoba employer or research organization
- Language ability equal to CLB/NCLC 7 or higher
Why Some Candidates Did Not Receive An Invitation?
Manitoba explained that some candidates who appeared to qualify may still not have received a Letter of Advice to Apply.
This may have happened if:
- Their Expression of Interest profile included an approved English or French language test, but the test identification number was missing, incorrect, or the results had expired before the draw date; or
- They claimed an invitation under a strategic recruitment initiative but did not provide a valid invitation number.
