Alberta Invites Skilled Workers In The Latest Immigration Draws

Alberta invites skilled workers in the latest immigration draws, i.e., between April 15 and April 27, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) issued more invitations through four different immigration pathways. In total, at least 185 candidates received invitations to apply.

The latest draws focused mainly on healthcare workers, law enforcement professionals, and workers in tourism and hospitality.

As of now, Alberta has already held 32 immigration draws in 2026.

Details Of The Latest Draws

The AAIP used four immigration streams and pathways in these latest rounds:

  • Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Health Care)
  • Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non- Express Entry
  • Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway
  • Tourism and Hospitality Stream

The number of invitations and minimum scores were different for each draw.

Alberta’s Main Immigration Focus This Year

In 2026, Alberta is giving priority to workers in sectors where labour shortages remain high.

The province is mainly focusing on:

  • Healthcare
  • Technology
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Aviation
  • Agriculture

At the same time, Alberta continues to support rural immigration through pathways such as the Rural Renewal Stream.

These latest draws show that the province is still working to fill labour gaps in important sectors while helping employers across smaller communities and major industries find skilled workers.
