Five Canadian provinces published provincial draw outcomes

Five Canadian provinces published their provincial draw outcomes, including Manitoba, British Columbia, Quebec, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island. The provinces (except) issued invitations through the Provincial Nominee Programs over the last two weeks. Quebec also issued invitations through its distinct provincial immigration system. This province has held two invitation rounds since February 17.

PNPs provide the provincial governments with a chance to select appropriate candidates who will be able to contribute economically to their regions. These types of immigrants help the provinces meet their labor and demographic requirements.

Ontario

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program sent 2,583 NOIs to candidates with eligibility for the Skilled Trades Stream of Ontario’s PNP on March 1. British Columbia published the provincial draw outcomes

British Columbia has conducted multiple draws since February 16 this year. On February 21, the British Columbia PNP held a general draw and a few draws for occupational categories. These draws occurred under the Skilled Worker International Graduate stream, such as the EEBC option. The BCPNP draw outcomes of February 21 are given below:

Quebec

Quebec revealed the results of the two draws that were held through its separate provincial immigration program. The first draw was held on February 8, while the other took place on February 22.

Each draw issued invitations to a different group of candidates based on their separate eligibility conditions. Notably, Quebec doesn’t function through a PNP and has its separate provincial program with distinct eligibility requirements. The province adheres to a unique agreement with IRCC, which gives the province complete authority in selecting the economic immigration candidates.

February 8 draw results

Quebec revealed the Feb 5 draw outcomes on February 8, in which IMFI issued 1,034 invitations to candidates to proceed with permanent selection applications.

In addition, candidates had to comply with the following requirements to obtain an invitation in this draw:

  • Display a score of 7 in Oral French language proficiency according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français (or its equivalence).
  • Have a score which is equal to or more than 613 points.
  • Holding a valid employment offer CMA territory.

February 22

After the draw results on February 8, the province also released the outcomes of the February 19 draw on February 22. The draw issued invitations to another 1,007 candidates to proceed with the permanent selection application. This particular candidate group needed to show a minimum score of 608 to receive an invitation for this draw. In addition, candidates had to fulfill the below eligibility requirements to gain an invitation to this draw:

  • French language skills in Oral proficiency with a level of 7. This complies with the Quebec scale concerning the French language skills of an adult immigrant.
  • Holding a valid employment offer CMA territory.

If a candidate has obtained an invitation in any of the above draws, they are now fully qualified to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate. They must adhere to this step before they actually proceed to apply for permanent residence at IRCC.

Manitoba

Manitoba published fresh outcomes for the most recent PNP draw on February 28 and the province’s declaration for new measures to help Ukraine. This special initiative for Ukrainians enabled the Manitoba PNP to issue 155 Letters of Advice to candidates as the provincial government’s response to Ukraine’s ongoing condition, aligning with IRCC’s special initiatives for affected individuals.

Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island’s smallest PNP draw based on the Labor and Express Entry invitations since October last year, the PEI Provincial Nominee Program sent 24 invitations to candidates on February 29. These were candidates in the construction and healthcare sectors. This is the first time that PEI has held the three PNP draws in a single month since November 2023.
