On 12th Aug, Manitoba sent out invites to 275 immigrant applicants to file for a nomination.
Applicants that have been invited can now seek a nomination through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). If they are successful, the nomination will help them while filing for Canada permanent residency (PR) in Canada.
The following are the findings of the most recent draw:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba— 238 invites sent to applicants with a minimum EOI of 454;
Skilled Workers Overseas— 6 invites sent to applicants with a minimum EOI of 719; and
International Education Stream — 31 invites were sent with no EOI score requirement.
Express Entry pool’s 36 aspirants received invites. Those invites are famous as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).
Immigration Streams of Manitoba.
The MPNP facilitates immigration applications for the immigration department. It also handles provinces’ immigration services. The provinces of Canada are not allowed to give a PR. However, they can support an applicant by making a nomination.
If an individual is looking for a nomination from Manitoba, they must first present an Expression of Interest. This qualifies them for an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas programs.
The province then gives applicants a score from the total of 1,000 points, based on their capital elements and links to the region.
The Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams are intended to help the region find people who fulfill their labor market demands.
Applicants from outside Manitoba must show ties to the province, such as personal connections, past experience in the region, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Projects. To be granted, it is not necessary to be a resident of the province while applying.
The individual necessarily should have a full-time employment contract from a provincial company. That is to be eligible for an invitation for the Skilled Workers in Manitoba class.
International graduates who finish their study in Manitoba may be eligible for an invite under the International Education Stream provided they can show in-demand skills.
Express Entry
This is a platform used by the immigration department of the country to systematically handle all the new applications. The platform is used primarily for three federal programs:
One can even request a PR via Express Entry. It is not always compulsory to go through PNP. However, getting a nomination increases your chances of getting an invite in the next drawing. Because after that, they become entitled to 600 extra points in their profile.
When an individual updates their demographic details on the platform, they get scores on the basis of their details. The score leads to ranks, and the individuals with the highest ranks get the invite in upcoming drawings.
