PEI PNP Draw selected 113 immigration candidates

The results of the PNP draw on June 17 have been revealed by the authorities of Prince Edward Island. Through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), the province selected 113 applicants.

Express Entry and Labour Impact applicants received the majority of the invites (101). The remaining 12 invites were given to Business Impact applicants who scored at least 60 points.

The marine province of Canada is holding its sixth draw of 2021. P.E.I. accepted 905 people, with 816 coming from the Labour Impact and Express Entry programs. The rest, 89, were from the Business Impact route.

PNPs allow provincial governments in the country to choose immigrants who fulfil their labour market demands. This is valid of Prince Edward Island, which follows federally-authorized standards when administering the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

P.E.I., like the rest of the country, has seen a drop in immigrants in the last year, owing to travel bans. The federal government, on the other hand, intends to make up the gap and meet an aggressive immigrant target this year. Canada’s goal under the PNPs is to welcome 80,800 newcomers in 2021.

PEI PNP Express Entry Category

The Express Entry Division of the PEI PNP is an improved PNP, meaning it is connected to the federal govt’s Express Entry pathway.

Express Entry accommodates candidates mainly from three programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S.) allocates points to aspirants based on their demographic details.

Express Entry applicants who are nominated by a province gain an extra 600 points on their score. That practically guarantees an Invitation to Apply (I.T.A.) for P.R. in the next Express Entry drawing.

Applicants must register an EOI profile with the PEI PNP in order to qualify for a nomination from P.E.I.

The province’s specific point grid is used to assign points to EOI accounts. The applicants with the best ratings are then asked to apply in draws that happen every month.

Labour Impact division

Foreign workers who have a valid work offer in P.E.I. and are supported by their company are eligible for the Labour Impact Category. Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate are the three programs.

To qualify for a provincial nominee program under the Labour Impact division, applicants in this bracket must also file an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Business Impact division

Applicants in the Business Impact Division must meet the provincial minimal score criterion to continue with their application. Each drawing has a different score threshold. The Work Permit program, which is for international investors who want to own and run a business in the province, granted the invites in today’s draw.
